Olympics Exhibition to open in Cardiff

An exhibition to celebrate Wales’ Olympic and Paralympic stars will open in Cardiff later this year.

Work has already begun on the display which is being built on an empty part of the site at Cardiff bus station, near the Millennium Stadium. The exhibition which will cost £115,000 will celebrate the success of Welsh athletes at London 2012 and promote Cardiff in its title as European Capital City of Sport in 2014. The works should be completed by Christmas.

This is great news for all sports fans in Wales and will hopefully inspire even more people to Go Get Involved. Who knows, there might be a young Dai Greene, Tom James or Jade Jones among the visitors, inspired to compete at the 2016 Rio Games.

We can see the headlines already: “From Cardiff Bus Station to the Estádio Olímpico…”
